White Chili, ala Williams-Sonoma & Me!

You already know what a sucker I am for Williams-Sonoma's soup and
stew starters. Recently, there was the Beef Bourguignon braising base I tried,
and then there's his favorite, the Cioppino base - So tonight... It's White Chili!

It all begins in a Dutch Oven with olive oil...

Cubed boneless chicken breasts that have been Salted and peppered...

You know what's coming next... Whether the Recipe calls for it for not!

Garlic! And, no... The recipe does Not call for it. But we've had that
discussion... And, my love and appreciation for Garlic always wins!

Here's something else the, add-to-this-Jar recipe does not call
for but really, really, it should - cubed, Yukon Gold potatoes!

The man I fed this Chili to this evening
told me these Potatoes made this dish!

The contents of this jar smells Incredible!

Tomatoes, onions, peppers... Oh, my!

Perfection!

Okay... While this simmers for Twenty minutes, Bing and I have a couple
of packages to put together. First, though, Bing has a card to sign!

He picked it out for his Buddy, whom he misses very much. On the
front of the card, there is a Kitty watching a clothes dryer go around
and around. Above him, it says Life feels a little like it's on the spin cycle
right now... I think it's how we all feel since our sweet Ranger deployed

Now that our packages are all Wrapped up, it's time to serve dinner!

This is one amazing plate of White Chili!

The chicken is falling apart and the Potatoes are tender, and buttery!

Topped with shredded Asiago cheese, and
accompanied by a chunk of Crusty baguette. Yum!

  5. Janet!
Honest to goodness you need a recipe book!
    This looks so scrumptious!
FOr some reason...I do believe Greg would love me more if I served him this tonight vs. the BOCA veggie burger I have planned!
Oh this chili looks like every mans dream...and I was going to say the same thing that your hubby said...the potatoes would make it!!!!
And I just adore BINGy mailing the Ranger a card! Sweet Sweet Sweet! I do not see HOW the Ranger stands being away from the HEAVEN you create in your home!

  6. That stuff looks really great, and adding the potatoes and garlic was masterful. As far as I am concerned, when it comes to garlic, the more the merrier. There is no such thing as "too much garlic."
