Stuffed peppers!

As promised yesterday, I set out to Duplicate the stuffed Red peppers done so Beautifully by Susan, the force behind Sticky, Gooey, Creamy, Chewy - a fantastic food Blog I've been following for quite a while now. Do visit SGCC, if for no other reason than to see what my stuffed Peppers should have looked like!

Let's get Stuffed!
I'm speaking for These peppers, of course!
I have to tell you that Finding the short Grain rice called for in
this Recipe was a Challenge I did not meet. The only short grain rice at
my Favorite market was California sushi rice, which I was afraid to try so
I opted for this Medium grain rice - and I'm happy to say it worked just fine!
adding minced Garlic to my translucent Onions that smell Fantastic!
Such a Pretty mixture!
Panko crumbs to Finish it off...
now the Fun begins...
Mixing it all up... Squish, squish!
Looks like Stuffed peppers to me!
One last Look outside!
The Sauce... Great sauce! The recipe is for Six peppers but it's not like I
have six to Feed so I did three peppers and put the Left-over stuffing mix
outside for the Raccoon. I expect to see a Thank you note in the morning!
Take note of the Tomato sauce for this recipe because
it's a must for my next Meat Loaf! Seriously, it's good Stuff!
Into the oven for an hour!
Ding! Now I'll put the Tops back on
and Bake a little longer... To Perfection!
I wasn't sure about the Cinnamon, but it's a Must because this
sauce is Amazing with it! And, these peppers taste like Candy...
Stuffed peppers for Two!
Grab a Fork and follow me to the Table!

  1. You did a fantastic job with these, Janet! They look perfect! I'm so very glad that you liked them.

I love how you have pictures of each step as you go along. I never remember to do that until it's too late.

P.S. I hope the Raccoon enjoyed the leftover stuffing! ;)
