Ina's 5-Star Soup!

As soon as I finished watching Ina demo her Roasted Tomato and Basil
soup on her show, Barefoot Contessa, I knew it was the next way we
would be enjoying his beautiful Summer tomatoes. Because he
has lots of tomatoes in the Garden that must be used. And,
because I lack interest in Canning them... This is the answer!

If you do check out the Recipe you will find 130 comments and a five Star rating

Man! He grows some Killer tomatoes! Doesn't he?

I can think of a Million endings to this

While our tomatoes Roast for 45 minutes at 400 degrees...

I'm going to spend some time Outside on the deck

To me, Pink Gerber Daisies are the happiest flower in
the garden. Or in this case, in a Pot out on our deck

Watching this Hummingbird moth, Forty-five minutes passed quickly

This smells Ah-mazing!

Don't tell Ina, but I had to increase
the Garlic for her soup. More garlic is always better!

I have about Ten minutes left on the tomatoes
so it's time to get this Party started!

There is nothing better than Thyme and, of course, basil from my Container
garden. I almost said Pot garden, but I can't have you getting the wrong idea!

Canned tomatoes in this recipe seems Odd, but it's what Ina wants...

Chicken broth makes perfect sense though. However, if you prefer to
keep this soup Vegetarian, you could use a Vegetable stock instead

Oh, my! Can't you just see these on a Pizza?

I couldn't help it... I had to Eat one of these beauties now!

Now we're going to Simmer for 40-minutes. More outside time for me!

I knew when I bought Martha's food mill, nine years ago,
that it would one Day come in handy. And, I was right!

What! No directions included?
Good thing there's a Picture on the box!

Looks like Soup to me!

Fabulous and fragrant soup!

I bought this after Martha suggested that it's the best way to achieve
her perfect Mashed potatoes. Maybe now I'll actually give that a try!

I mean, it's only taken me Nine years to unpack it
and put it together. Heck... I'm on a Roll now!

Maybe not... Depends on how difficult this is for him to
clean. You didn't think I was going to do it. Did you? Ina
has a Staff. I have a staff. We're practically sisters that way!

Dinner is served!

Ina didn't say I could add a Dollop of sour cream. But she's not here to stop
me, and I know you Won't tell her. Oh, Yum! There's a lot of Flavors in that bowl!

Just make this Soup. You'll love it. If you don't,
then I promise to come over and clean your Food mill!

Not really...
