You can help raise $25,000 for Operation Homefront!

Remember when I told you here that I was sending my Christmas tree
cookies created with my vintage Martha by Mail giant copper cookie cutters
to a few of the special people in my life? Well, my dear friend, David was kind
enough to show me that the cookie I sent him made it in one beautiful piece!
Just look at David's baking spot in his kitchen! I'm in love with his gorgeous
counter top and, just like me, David uses a substantial maple cutting board
to protect it. Oh, and what about all that delicious sunlight pouring through
the windows?! I know I could stand in that spot all day... And, probably not
a thing done! If you want to see what David was busy baking, click here!
As I've said before... The best way to ensure your shipped cookies arrive in one
pretty piece is to package them in tins. These tins by Imperial Sugar, designed
for their Bake it Forward campaign are perfect and, you can buy them here
Imperial Sugar just happens to be the parent company of my all-time
favorite sugar brand, Dixie Crystals! It's a Southern (regional) brand so
when I first noticed it after we relocated to North Carolina from California, I
just had to try it! What I discovered is a less processed, richer, more pure-sugar
taste that now, we can't live without. Dixie Crystals line of pure cane sugar products
are all natural and, GMO-free too! Since 1917, Dixie Crystals has been providing
consistently sweet results to bakers and home chefs just like me! I want to encourage
you, even if you don't live in the South, to visit their website for coupons, recipes,
sweet kid's kitchen projects, sugar craft ideas, vintage cookbooks and so much
more! One fantastically sweet reason to visit the website right now is to
participate in Operation Homefront and help Dixie Crystals raise
$25,000 to support our Military Families... And, guess what?
It doesn't cost a dime! All we have to do is like Dixie Crystals on Facebook,
Pintrest and, Dixie Crystals will donate $1 for every new Like and Follower to
Operation Homefront. Believe me, Dixie Crystals wants to donate every penny
of their pledge as much we want them to! So please, take a moment to click
on the links and help Dixie Crystals help Operation Homefront support our
military families this holiday season. I'll consider it a personal favor if you do!

Since 2002, Operation Homefront has met over 400,000 needs for military families from all branches of service (including active duty, Guard and Reserve) all across the U.S. Operation Homefront provides direct services that alleviate emergency financial burdens. Emergency funding assistance includes the following:
  • Financial assistance (checks paid directly to mortgage lenders, auto mechanics, contractors, hospitals, doctors, dentists and other providers)
  • Emergency food
  • Emergency home repair
  • Critical baby items
  • Budget counseling
  • Transitional housing
  • Vehicle repair
  • Furniture needs
Let’s all work together to make this holiday season a little brighter for deserving military service members and their families.

Thank you!
