Guess where we are right now!

We've been on the road for a couple of days... Away from our Bingee and
Leo and, our comfortable bed and the dream job. Why? Only for the
best reason... To welcome the Ranger back from his 3rd deployment!
So today while we waited, we strolled through a couple of antique shops... To
burn some of that, hurry-up-and-wait time the Army is so famous for. We
piddled and we watched the clock... Waiting not so patiently for the call!
And we laughed at this brochure left in our room by the staff
at our hotel. We laughed because we already know very well
that there is only one good reason to visit Columbus, Georgia...
And this is it - We got our Ranger back tonight! He returned safe and sound. And,
as always, smiling too. We are so grateful for the reunion that delivered him and all
his fellow Rangers back to their families too. The return marks the beginning of
their next training cycle... But for me, it marks the return of peace and joy!
Welcome Home... We are so proud of you!

  6. Oh I'm so happy for you and your family Janet. The Ranger is looking mighty good and I'm sure his ribs are sore from being hugged so tightly. Three times deployed is a huge sacrifice and I hope that he is able to continue to serve...just a lot closer to home. Deeply appreciate his efforts and those of all men and women in units around the world that stand on guard for all of us.

  7. Know you are so happy to have him home...I'm an Army wife of 31 years...and can so relate as a Mom of a soldier...much harder than having your own spouse deployed...
That Momma protective instinct is always there....
Welcome home to your son...and please Thank him for his service!
