Finally, a call!

FINALLY! After no phone call since April 9th, when he told us one of his fellow Rangers and someone he knew was killed, Brandon finally called last night!

I was OVER-worried. Barely able to function the past few days when the phone finally rang at 11:30PM. Thank you, God! is always my first thought when I see those strange numbers on the caller-ID. Brandon's okay. I'm okay.

Are you safe? As safe as I can be.

He can never say much. Always says it'll have to wait until he's home and can see us. I cannot even imagine how happy the day will be!

We love you. I love you too. We miss you. Miss you too. Can't wait for you to come home. Counting down the days. We're almost half-way there. Yeah. Half-way.

“Lest I keep my complacent way I must remember somewhere out there a person died for me today. As long as there must be war, I ask and I must answer, was I worth dying for?”
- Eleanor Roosevelt

    I keep Brandon in my prayers and think of him when I say the pledge with my students every morning {I keep the soldiers I know in mind during the pledge and encourage my students to do the same}
