Inspired by Pintrest to Summer decorate!

You already know what a freak I am for glass domes. My collection
has taken over my dining room table and more than a few of the
cabinets in our home office. I am always looking for ways to use
them. So when someone repinned a recipe of mine and I noticed
this on her Pintrest board, I became inspired to decorate the
console table with seashells today. After all, summer is here!
By the way, I have a confession to make...
In a fit to de-clutter last month, I gave away two of my most favorite glass
domes on wooden bases. They were very old. The glass was wavy-vintage
and the green felt on the bottom of each base said they once belonged to a
discriminating collector. I always intended to paint the bases white and to
use them in some fabulous way; however, in the meantime, I grew tired
of moving them from one corner of the dining room table to the other...
So I gave them away. Now, I find myself missing them every day!
If you're questioning my use of Monarch butterflies in a seashell display, try
to remember that while I don't live there now, my heart always lives here...
Where seashells and monarch butterflies together makes perfect sense!

  1. I'm not questioning your paring of monarch with sea shells, I think it's lovely.
