Granite Guru's, my white Carrara marble and Me!

Every bit of inspiration for the addition of carrara marble in my kitchen
came from the Granite Guru's blog authored by Stephanie Southwick, a
brilliant interior designer with MGS by Design located in Vineyard, Utah!
I spent so much time at Stephanie's blog and talked about it so much that
Army Dad began to refer to it as my boyfriend. And, as it turns out, I'm not
the only one who considers Stephanie's blog as the resource for marble and
granite inspiration, application, use and care because when I walked into the
showroom at Surface Products in Charlotte to discuss my project and they
pulled out their sample of carrara that was stained and etched, and sadly also
ruined through spot examples of what not to do if you love it, I immediately
said I'd seen just that exact thing at Granite Guru's blog and Anne, the owner at
Surface Products said, I know, where do you think we got the idea to do this?

Okay, so it's been five happy months since I added carrara to my kitchen. So
why am I yapping about it again now? Because Stephanie... The Stephanie, of
Granite Guru's recently contacted me about writing a feature on my carrara
marble kitchen island project and it's going live at her Granite Guru's blog today!
So do pop over to Granite Guru's immediately and check it out. Because
my carrara marble project aside... There simply isn't a more beautiful, more
comprehensive or more inspiring resource for those of us full of questions
about whether or not and, how to add gorgeous natural stone to our lives!

  6. Janet, saw your kitchen on Granite Gurus and wanted to say thanks so much for telling your story. Going back and forth over Carrera right now on perimeter cabinets with Soapstone on the islands. I have made peace with scratches, but the stains still worry me. I don't always quickly wipe up. Anyway I loved seeing your pictures! It is BEAUTIFUL and you did a great job. I especially love your colored pots on the stand!
