Poptarts from Afghanistan!

Everyone is Grateful that Brandon
is home from his Deployment!
And that certainly includes his buddy, Bing-kitty
Because when Brandon's home, there's always Extra treats!
Speaking of Extra treats... Look what showed up today! This
is the last care-package I put together for Brandon while he was
deployed. I had so hoped it would Reach him before he left, but it
never made it. But now... More than a month after I shipped it off to
Brandon, half-way around the world, it has made its way back home!
Brandon said it would never make it back!
And truthfully, I can't say he's the
only one Surprised to see it!
But it's all here! The cash, the goodies, the Magazine...
The goofy singing card, the Beef jerky,
doritos, Gum and all the pop tarts too!
I cannot tell you how thrilled I am that Brandon
is Not opening this package in Afghanistan!
Welcome home little Goodie package!

Quick, (lazy) Summer-time desert...

I'm supposed to be having a Lemon love affair tonight. I even
called Monica from the market to get her input on which Corn
meal to buy to duplicate her Lemon Cornmeal Shortbread recipe she
shared here. I love all things Lemon, so this shortbread is a must!
So why aren't you drooling over Monica's Lemon Shortbread right now?
Because by the time I finished my Errands and made it home,
all I had time to do was melt down some Guittard left over from my
NY Times cookies, dip some strawberries in it, and call it desert!
There will be Lemon Cornmeal Shortbread very soon... I promise!

Huge birds!

This is why we go through Fifty pounds
of black oil sunflower seeds every week!
Because the Birds in our backyard are huge!

Fluttering Garden Phlox!

Garden Phlox is one of my most Favorite garden perennials...
And, with over 50 varieties to choose from, there's
a Garden Phlox for everyone to love. Probably the
best quality of this Colorful and hardy plant...
Is how it attracts Butterflies!
There are Butterflies all over this area of his gardens!
A girl can't help but feel like she's stepped into an Enchanted
fairy garden with all these butterflies Swirling around her!
If you're not already enjoying Summer garden phlox in
your gardens, make sure to add it to your Must-have list!

Cookies for a 3rd Birthday!

When my friend Melissa asked me to make cookies for
her niece's 3rd birthday party I said, Yes immediately!
When she told me the Party theme was
Charlotte's Web, I got super-excited!
Wilbur and Charlotte are my all-time
favorite Story book characters
And they always will be!
Of course, none of this would be possible without CopperGifts.com
Copper cookie cutters get no Better than the
ones they handcraft right here in America!
Heirloom quality and Precision cutting... That's what I'm talking about!
And, of course, a cookie post from me wouldn't be a cookie post
at all if I didn't confess that Bridget taught me everything I know!
Rush Limbaugh likes to say his Talent is
on loan to him from God... Well, this cookie
talent of mine is on loan to me from Bridget!
This morning I had to clear off my Counter tops because my friends
at Old Castle Surfaces came by to make a couple of repairs for me
It made for Interesting cookie-making today!
But somehow, we all managed. Take a close look at the names on
our Wilbur piggies... Do you see anything familiar there? I do...
It just makes me Giggle to think about a 3-year
old Terry playing with a 3-year old Brandon!
I sure hope the Birthday girl likes her cookie favors!
Because I sure do love her cousins! If you're
in need of a Cutie-patootie fix, click Here
Of course, you knew there had to be a Charlotte's web, right?
Yes, pink! Why? Because little Party girl's auntie
said, no Scary spider webs, like these I made here
Cute. Not scary... And, these sugar spiders
from CopperGifts.com are perfectly cute!
I almost don't want to deliver them tomorrow!
And, I'm sorry... But I'm going to think this is Funny for a while!
And I'll always think this is just too cute!
As much as I love them... Off to Mt. Airy they go!
Thank you, Melissa. This was pure joy!
